Derivation 1.  夫  Fū, man "There is a man who is firmly standing with arms and legs spread! "

The carattere夫 Fūoriginal shape passed to one in which man is seen in front. This man who is firmly standing with arms and legs spread. It is described the character大Dà big. This position, shared by many ethnic groups, expresses the characteristic of man "self-dignity, secured and full of strength."
